About Us
Joy Foundation has been running a temporary accommodation establishment for Vulnerable persons in various London Boroughs since 1991 and has an outstanding reputation built over the years.
We have been a preferred provider to Newham Council for over 30 years and are well established within the Borough, providing accommodation to various services within Newham (Adults and Children’s Social Services as well as Housing). We have also, on occasion provided accommodation to several other boroughs at their request.
We are constantly modernising and our brand-new, state of the art building located at 79 Prince Regent Lane, London, E13 8RP will be the newest addition to our establishment, providing an outstanding safe and secure accommodation. Our Establishment is secured 24/7 with our DBS checked staff, aided by CCTV monitoring and intercom access to every unit. Security is a top priority for us, and the premises is fully secured with video intercom access that is manned by our on-site staff.
High-speed internet network has been installed throughout the premises giving every room access to fast and reliable Wi-fi.
We also provide much needed disabled and adapted accommodation and our very close proximity to Newham University Hospital makes these units very convenient for people with varying medical needs, who need local and convenient access to hospital facilities.
Joy Foundation is situated in an excellent position for transport links. There are two bus stops located directly outside the building. Plaistow underground station is only a 20-minute walk away, providing easy convenient access to central London.
The building is inspected regularly and thoroughly by the London Borough of Newham’s Environmental Officers and fully abides by strict Health & Safety Regulations. Our safeguarding policies are regularly updated and communicated to Newham.
Joy Foundation takes equality and diversity very seriously- it is at the heart of everything we do. This means we will take action to tackle discrimination and harassment at all levels, provide high standards in our service delivery and make sure our workforce represents our community.
We are always thinking of greener ways for our staff to travel to work and so we offer showers, lockers and changing facilities for our staff should they wish to cycle or walk to work.
We are also proud to support both “walk to work week” and “cycle to work week” in which we encourage our staff members to walk or cycle to work for the duration of the events.
